Description
The story so far, Mrs. Stoppable joined up with Global Justice and somewhere down the line got pregnant (Go Ron). Naturally no super-top-secret spy agency is going to allow one of their top agents into the field while she's with child..so Doctor Director does the only thing she can by relegating Kim to a desk job for the duration of her pregnancy and has found a temp to fill in for on her squad...her younger (although much older than when we last saw her) cousin Joss.
You can take Kim's reaction however you like...regardless she's not happy in Director's hand-picked replacement for her. Maybe she is trying to be protective of her cousin who she assumes isn't ready for the work that Kim is used to. Or that maybe she hasn't kept in touch with her cousin as of late and hasn't realized that Joss has made quite an aim for herself and that her dossier *gasp* might actually be a little more impressive than her own when she was her age and there might be a little jealousy going on.
Me, personally I think it's more of a Batman/Robin relationship going on here. Where younger upstart with obvious potential is always being kept down by the older, more experienced of the two out of a false sense of protection when the younger one is more than capable of taking on his or her own work load. I mean, look at Joss...she even has her own Montana Pocket Gopher named Reckless to assist her (she named him after Ron...or well, a word that best describes Ron) and probably twice as fearless as Kim was in her younger days.
Anyways, thought it would be a fun story I had sat on for a while which I never got around to...I'm sure there is a plot for a fanfic in there for someone who is looking for a muse...and if so please feel free to do so.
Speaking of fanfics and Joss...you should check out Project Possible's third episode 'Country Cousins' which actually does feature Joss (and has nothing to do with this picture) and her older cousin in some antics of a fan-made season 5...Maybe you'll be inspired by the title cover for the episode as I was

Kim: uh ok, what she is doing here Dr. Director? Just cause I'm pregnant doesn't mean I can't fight. second she's my cousin god dang it, she's too inexperienced! Ron can fight better than her even though he lost his pants ever 30 seconds!
Dr. D: Kim Calm down.
Kim: no I will not freaking calm down, your sending my 16 year old cousin on a god dang freaking mission to capture the most dangerous villain in the world? How can you do something so heartless you piece of crap?
Dr.D: look Kim, I try to contact any other top agents, but all the rest were too busy. so I pick her to do it ok? I know it was wrong but I had no other choice, but to pick her to replace you.
Kim: that doesn't mean, you send her on any dangerous missions, she's too young to do the job I use to do.
Joss: Kim listen, I know your upset at the Director picking me, but there was no other choice, but I'm ready you know that.
Kim *looks at her Cousin* Joss sweetie look your too young for this, you can hurt *tears well up in her eyes* look I'm just scary you might not return from a mission alive, and I lose my sweet cousin.
Joss: Kim you know any day I might not return, but like every good warrior I go down fighting she said as she hugs Kim as she returns it, but I always be with you Kim no matter what.
Kim: Oh Joss! she said as she grabs her broke down crying on Joss's shoulder as Joss hugs her and rubs her on the back.
Joss: shh shh there there Kim it's going to be alright you know it I be fine trust me. She said as she wipes away Kim's tears.
Both of them share a loving passionately kiss as Joss holds Kim in your arms as they break and hug each other and Kim said:
Kim: Joss sweetie?
Joss: yes Kim?
Kim: You come back home to me alive ok?
Joss: I promise Kim, I come back home to you or die trying to.
Kim: good then as Joss grabs her duffle bag and prepares to board the helicopter.
Kim: make me proud Joss sweetie fight bravely ok?
Joss: of course Kim she said as she boards the helicopter with her mole rat and takes off for her first mission.
