BTW, Elena Myers won a race earlier this year in AMA Superbike. Or Supersport. Or whatever. I have no clue what the classes are called, since DMG stepped in and screwed up the AMA.
Most of the female racers from my area don't want to be the best "female" driver, they want to be the best driver period...most of them are surrounded with enough good 'ol boys that won't allow them to be turned into a marketing machine and will groom them for their talents.
We'll see how good she gets when she moves up to the Limited Late Models next year...yes, she races in a full-sized stock car...well she did...apparently the front end was ripped off in an incident last weekend, lol.
